RESEARCH-BASED ACTIVITY – GROWING UP IN A DEMOCRACY
TEACHER’S SECTION
In classroom activity, we have provided information about the important documents an Indian Citizen should have
for different purposes, like identity, proofs, proofs for gaining government welfare scheme/ benefits, traveling out
of the country etc.
Let the students have the practical knowledge of all these documents through this research activity.
EXPECTED OUTCOME S –
Students will
1. Be able to identify the documents required for them and their family members at different life stages.
2. Be aware and informed about the eligibility criteria for each and make the family members aware about
the same.
STUDENT’S SECTION
THE TASK FOR RESEARCH –
1. Make a list of documents all family members have from the Information sheet.
2. Explore the physical copy of each in your house either you have or any other family member has.
3. Find out which additional information it has and discuss with your parents about the uses of each in
detail. Like – Date of Birth, Photo, Address, validity period etc. on Adhaar card.
4. Make a Photo Magazine by using copy/drawing a miniature of each document with the help of following
